We asked: Are lawmakers helping to expose corruption in the tax office or playing politics with the office?
You replied:
Only hope that those very lawmakers are paying their taxes.
Gancar, Jakarta
Have they been good at anything at all but in furthering their own interests?
Gunawan Hartadi
Politics seems to be the logical answer, judging by their past antics.

We asked: Do you think Agus Martowardojo has the experience and ability to be finance minister?
You replied:
The best thing about Agus M is his non-political affiliation. Since he has led a big corporation to success, we hope that he can tone up his “wheeling and dealing” skills because you sure need them in politics.
H. Harjani, Jakarta
Ability, certainly. Experience, he has it in the banking sector. The dangers are not there but in the treacherous political waters that he will find himself treading in.
Garry Tandaya
The most important thing that he needs, and I think Agus Martowardojo has, is integrity. A rare quality these days.
Josephine, Jakarta
It is heartening to see that the new finance minister is not one of those political acolytes. I think he has the stuff to do the job.

We asked: Do you think the statue in Bekasi that has attracted protests is offensive to Muslims? Should it be torn down?
You replied:
The Islamic Defenders Front acting in the name of ALL people in Bekasi? Forbidden to display living beings is only the FPI’s view. In no way is this statue offensive.
