Los Angeles. Maria Shriver is considering putting her divorce from former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on hold, celebrity website TMZ.com reported Monday.
Shriver, who is a scion of the Kennedy political clan, filed for divorce from the action movie star-turned-Republican politician in early July after learning that he had fathered a love child over 14 years earlier with a domestic worker at the family's mansion.
The couple had been married 25 years, with Shriver sticking by her outspoken husband through numerous reports of dalliances and sexual harassment that were leveled against him.
The report said that Shriver was reconsidering the divorce because of her Catholic religious beliefs. Schwarzenegger has also been wooing her energetically in a bid to save the marriage, the report said.
