So what’s the secret? The succulent and juicy dory fish fillet is imported fresh from Vietnam. Top it off with the signature lemon butter sauce. The crispy golden batter covers the fillet almost like skin, it’s not the crumbly batter type like some versions at other restaurants.

Indonesian Cuisine Enthralls in the Midwest USA's Food Festival

Due to the low prevalence of Asian restaurants, Americans in the Midwest tend to have little idea of what Asian cuisine is like. When they think of Asian food, the only things that come into their mind are the meals in a Chinese restaurant or Japanese's sushi. The Asian Food Fest aims to change that perception by introducing the less-popular Asian cuisine into the general American population.

Culinary Bonanza: Kota's Lesehan Street Food

The food served here is unpretentious, yet delicious and reasonably priced (although it is on the pricey end for street food standard). The stall is named 'Gudeg,' but they serve other Javanese fare as well like soot and sop buntut (oxtail soup). All of the items on the menu are not more than Rp 20,000.

The First Betawi Flashmob Dance Set to Break Records

This Sunday, thousands of Jakartans will gather in the capital's busiest streets -- Jalan Sudirman and Jalan Thamrin -- to run, dance, and celebrate the appreciation towards Jakarta in a collaboration event by Indorunners community, Abang-None Jakarta Association, and Indonesian Dance Festival. The 3-hour event will bear "Run and Rhythm for Your Heart" as its motto.

Whether you like it or not, rainbow cakes are selling like hotcakes! When I inquired by phone at the few places I know selling these, I was told that before 1 p.m. their rainbow cakes are usually sold out. They only survive an hour or so on the display!
