Nothing to watch at your local cinema except for movies about bloody pocong or cliché drama? Why don’t you swing by to the Bentara Budaya Jakarta event and check out a great selection of Argentine films. “Imagining Argentina” and “Buenos Aires” are the two political films that highlight the massacre and kidnapping of thousands of Argentineans. The event also includes a selection of dramas. Catch “The Secret in Their Eyes” by the acclaimed director, Juan José Campanella. The film won the 2009 Academy Award for best foreign film. Other Campanella movies to be screened include “The Same Love,” “The Same Rain” and “Son of The Bride.”
Hybrid Project

Produced by local artists, Hybrid Project brings together musicians, composers and artists from various backgrounds to collaborate on a variety of projects. Amy Simonyetbali, Annisa Utami, Arif Hidayat and Isrol Triono are some of the artists participating. The exhibit presents a look at the mix of diversity and culture in Indonesia and the contemporary art world.
Paper Cutting Art Exhibition

Discover the simple beauty of cut paper art in Arita Safitri’s “exotic spirit”-themed exhibition. Inspired by her passion for music, the Russian Music School graduate’s work is created only from intricate cuts in paper that are both detailed and creative.
For Indonesia With Love

“For Indonesia With Love” is an exhibition of new paintings by Sasya Tranggono, which is also celebration of her 20-year journey in art. She is known for her fine watercolors technique. The wayang-themed paintings are now on display at the Four Seasons Hotel and represent Sasya’s affection for Indonesia. During the exhibit’s opening, a charity raffle was held to benefit the people of Papua. Fans of Sasya’s work can take home a piece of the exhibit by visiting the hotel gift shop.
