Two of three burglary suspects were shot by Bali police as they tried to escape on Thursday.

Bali Police spokesperson Comr. Gede Sugiayar Dwi Putra said the three, accused of breaking into a villa being rented by a Russian national on Monday, were arrested in a housing complex in Denpasar. “Two suspects were shot while trying to run away when being questions about the theft,” he said.

Police seized from the suspects machetes, screwdrivers, pliers, a crowbar and a motorcycle, allegedly used in the theft, and valuables that one of the suspects confessed to have taken from the villa in Pecatu, Jimbaran, rented by a Russian tourist. JG
