A tourist guide on the resort island of Bali stabbed a fellow tout during an argument over pay for tourism services, Bali Police alleged on Wednesday.
Bangli Police spokesman Adj. Comr. Ida I Dewa Nyoman Rai said one of the guides, I Gede D, had met fellow guide Jero G in Penelokan and demanded Rp 1 million payment for services rendered to a tourist.
Nyoman Rai said Jero responded by striking Gede with a scale weight before Gede stabbed Jero twice in the chest with a pocket knife.
Jero was taken to hospital and Gede taken into custody, he said.
