Another blow to the Indonesian justice system...Judge Ho didn't put out what the "big boys" wanted so they transfer her to the boondocks. Corruption at it's finest!

The spokesman is right it is due time. She has built up a reputation for taking a hard line against corruption defendants and she is on now on a major corruption case. So it is the perfect time for her to move.

Congratulation to Gayus, Cirrus and friends.

The Supreme Court has transferred a widely respected judge from her high-profile posting at the South Jakarta District Court to the far more obscure Sungai Liat District Court in Bangka Belitung province.

Judge Albertina Ho, who has built up a reputation for taking a hard line against corruption defendants, said on Tuesday that she received the order last week and would be transferred within a month.

She declined to say what reason was given for the transfer. “Like a soldier, I’ll do as I’m told,” she said.

Albertina previously presided over the trial of Gayus Tambunan, the disgraced tax official who is currently serving a 12-year sentence for bribing his way out of an earlier embezzlement trial.

Her transfer will take her off the ongoing trial of Cirus Sinaga, the prosecutor believed to have conspired with Gayus on the acquittal.

A Supreme Court spokesman said the transfer was ordered because it was “due time” for Albertina to move on.
