Interfaith leaders said on Wednesday that they would set up a “Peace Park” on the grounds of the House of Representatives’ complex in Jakarta to symbolize interreligious harmony.

Din Syamsuddin, chairman of Muhammadiyah, the country’s second-biggest Islamic organization, said the groundbreaking ceremony would take place on Feb. 10.

Martinus Situmorang, chairman of the Indonesian Bishops Conference (KWI), said religious harmony in the country had come under threat recently from intolerance and needed to be revived.
