Police Name Suspects in Kalibata Murder
Police named two suspects on Thursday in the alleged murder of 37-year-old Holly Angela Hayu in Kalibata City, South Jakarta, last week.
“We’re presently still questioning them and further investigating [their involvement],” said Sr. Cmr. Rikwanto, a spokesman for the Jakarta Police.
One of the suspects, identified as S., was arrested in the West Java town of Karawang early Monday morning. Tthe other, identified as A. L. was arrested in Depok, West Java, on Wednesday evening.
Rikwanto said that police were still searching for two other people who were involved in the case.
“Based on what the investigators found during questioning, others are involved in the crime,” he said.
Holly was found in critical condition in her apartment on the 9th floor of the Ebony Tower in the Kalibata City apartment complex on Oct. 1. The security guard who found her said he heard a loud argument inside the apartment before entering to find Holy in a pool of blood, with severe head injuries and bruises. She died in a hospital shortly thereafter.
A man later identified as Elrizki Yudhistira, a 34-year-old debt collector, reportedly jumped to his death from the same apartment just before Holly was discovered
Lab tests found blood on the soles of his shoes and identified his footprints in Holly’s room, confirming that he had been inside her apartment before he fell.
Building security guards and neighbors said he had been seen visiting her apartment before.
Until today, Elrizki was the only one police suspected of foul play.
