Otago fullback Israel Dagg punished an undisciplined Lions side by kicking 24 points to help the Highlanders to a 39-29 win in their Super 14 match in Dunedin, New Zealand, on Friday.
The South African side was heavily penalized by the referee. Dagg slotted six penalties and three conversions.
Winless in Super 14 this season, the Lions secured a bonus point after scoring five tries but threw the game on penalties.
