In a sign that Singapore is fast becoming a digital media hub, two local firms Mozat and Kai Square have appeared in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific 2011 list.
This is the first time digital media companies in Singapore have been ranked among the fastest-growing technology companies in the region.
Also in the list - in its 10th year now - are other startups like online grocery store Yihaodian in China, fabless semiconductor firm Silicon Mitus in South Korea and biotechnology equipment maker 3-D Matrix in Japan.
'We've seen Singapore rise in the rankings this year, led by break-away growth in the interactive digital media subsector,' said Mr John Goeres, industry leader of Deloitte South-east Asia's technology, media and telecommunications practice, in a statement.
Kai Square, which provides digital signage and surveillance technology, led the group of 13 Singapore companies ranked by consulting firm Deloitte in the Top 500 in the region with its revenue growth of 777 percent in the last three years.
On the other hand, mobile phone-based social networking services provider Mozat had 400 percent revenue growth over three years.
The two firms had been funded by the Singapore Government.
