Melbourne, Australia. Victoria Azarenka won her first grand slam title Saturday when she beat faltering former champion Maria Sharapova to win the Australian Open and be crowned world number one.
Azarenka took the first set with ease and there was no let--up in the second as she won 6-3, 6-0 in 1hr 22min.
