The dazzling performance, symbolized by outstanding growth – 6.5 percent - conveys the message that Indonesia along with BRIC countries is ready to take a bigger chunk of the world economic pie.

The Economics of Coffee Shop Loitering

By Taufik Indrakesuma | 10:31am Dec 10, 2011

As I sit here in a coffee shop trying to write an article, I look around and am suddenly inspired to write a completely different one. The inspiration came from a random question that just popped into my head: I wonder how long they will let me sit here after ordering only one cup of coffee.

About White Margin

White Margin is a group of three young economists with opinionated minds and twitchy fingers. They share knee-jerk reactions, half-baked to fully-formed ideas, random musings, angry rants, and the list goes on… mainly on Jakarta and Indonesia, with an undertone of economic theory and logic. We believe that there is always room, some white margin, to fill in perspectives, even for the most rigid theories.
